Dutch - Adjectives

There are two groups of words that you need to have in mind:

De-words (the ones that their definite article is de) are always declined if they go before a noun. This means that you just put and –e at the end of it. Simple.
Examples:
            De lepel
De grote lepel
            Een grote lepel
            Grote lepels

Het-words (the ones that thier definite article is het), also make their adjectives change in all but one instance: the indefinite article .
Examples:
            Het huis
            Het grote huis
            Het groot huis
            Grote huizen

All of this is just a general rule, there are exeptions, but with it you will be able to start using the language from scratch, do not trouble yourself with little details now, later on you’ll fix those small things, after all, even if you knew all the proper gramar of the dutch language you wouln’t be able to remember everything when you use it. Get use to the words and the basics first, after that you may advance to more complex things.
