Dutch - How to make it all work?

Learning adjectives can be very difficult if you focus just on learning long lists of words. Learning them in context is much better, but if you don’t have enough vocabulary (or grammar for that matter) to learn them in context, it becomes a bit tricky; for this reason, I arranged each list of adjectives and nouns in a way you can mix both lists (obviously you can mix everything, but just to keep some kind of order you should start by doing this). So, for instance, you pick A1. Then, you go and pick random words of each - nouns A1 and adjectives A1 - and mix them so you end up with a noun and an adjective working together, and, consequently, an idea.
Example:
            Groot             adjective
            Huis               noun

                        groot + huis

Now, one basic thing you need to now about dutch adjectives is that they go before the noun, like in english. So, assuming you already now about the definite articles, you can expand a little that phrase:

                        het + groot + huis

Or even use an indefinite article…

                        een + groot + huis

Of course, you can leave it just like that and you will be understood, yet, to make it proper, you must decline the words and make them fit correctly.

                        Het grote huis
                        Het groot huis
After that you can turn every simple sentence into plural…

                        De grote huizen
                        Grote huizen

Now…
…if you do not know how to decline the adjectives for each nouns depending on the article (it’s gender actually), the go to the adjectives section t oread and know how it works. It’s very simple by the way.

So, start making it all work from the very beginning, it is not that complex and it will be much easier to learn the vocabulary this way.
